Shaping In-House Creative and Production Across Marketing, Events, and Client Work

Overview
NextAfter is a marketing research and optimization organization serving nonprofit fundraisers through education, events, and client services. After working with NextAfter as a client through my agency, I transitioned into an in-house role supporting creative production and creative direction across marketing initiatives, events, and select client engagements.
My work spans internal brand and marketing needs, large-scale events, educational content, and client-facing creative production, requiring flexibility, consistency, and close collaboration across teams.
My Role
I support creative direction and creative production across multiple areas of the organization, partnering with marketing, events, and client services teams to plan, execute, and deliver visual and video-based creative.
Primary responsibilities include:
Producing and directing creative assets for internal marketing and brand initiatives
Supporting creative production for the NIO Summit, with deeper coverage detailed on its own project page
Overseeing video, animation, and visual execution across campaigns, events, and educational content
Collaborating with stakeholders to translate needs into executable creative solutions
While strategy and campaign performance are owned by marketing and client teams, my focus is on creative execution, production planning, and delivery.
Brand, Design & Marketing Creative
Across internal marketing efforts, I have contributed to a wide range of brand and design work, including:
E-book covers and multi-page layout design
Booth graphics, backdrops, and event signage
A brand refresh including a new logo, iconography, and supporting visual assets
Creative advertising for social media and YouTube
This work required balancing brand consistency with speed and adaptability across formats and channels.
Educational Content & Online Courses
NextAfter produces extensive educational programming, including online courses and training materials. I have supported creative production across several courses, contributing to:
Video production and post-production
Visual systems used across course modules
Supporting creative assets for course promotion

Client Services & Nonprofit Campaign Support
In addition to internal work, I have assisted client services teams by supporting creative production for nonprofit clients. This has included:
Producing advertising creative for digital campaigns
Supporting event-related creative for client conferences and gatherings
Filming and producing intro videos, testimonials, promotional content, and supporting visuals
The work required adapting creative approaches to different nonprofit missions, audiences, and constraints while maintaining production quality and clarity.
Creative Production Across Multiple Contexts
Working in-house at NextAfter requires navigating varied creative needs, timelines, and audiences. Projects often run in parallel across marketing, events, education, and client services, demanding strong organization, communication, and production judgment.
My role emphasizes consistency, reliability, and execution across these contexts, ensuring creative work supports broader organizational goals without introducing unnecessary complexity.
